Sorry I haven’t written in a while; I’ve been studying for my first Intermediate Latin test. I’m not exactly sure how it went; I felt fine on the translation, but I had started to feel nervous on the grammar part. Luckily, Professor Bazzaz let us watch “Hometown: Baghdad” in Making of the Modern Middle East, so my brain was allowed to rest for a little while. I’m just glad that it’s over.

This past weekend was Parents’ Weekend. It was great to see my parents and show them around the campus; it was also great to get off campus and eat some food not prepared in Kimball!

I’m so excited for this weekend – we have a four day weekend for Columbus Day. I’ll be staying on campus because I can’t exactly get home all that easily, but I’m so eager to just spend a couple of days in the library catching up, getting ahead in my classes, and sleeping in. It’s going to be wonderful.

Well, I’m off to the library and then the Literary Society meeting. Have a nice day!
